Alcohol—in moderation Among 37,000 people studied by the National Institutes of Health, those who drank no more than one drink per day, 3 to 7 days per week, had the lowest body mass index. Those who drank less often but binged when they did imbibe had the highest. More drinks mean less food restraint, the scientists say.
