Start by choosing the right makeup remover. If you wear waterproof formulas, use one that’s oil-based–you’ll need the stronger cleansing agents. Otherwise, I recommend using an oil-free remover, which is gentlest to the delicate undereye area. Saturate a natural cotton pad, which is less irritating than swabs made with synthetic fibers, and lightly press it onto your closed lids for 20 to 30 seconds before carefully wiping away the makeup (no rubbing!). Follow with your regular face wash to remove any residue.   Bobbi Brown is a celebrity makeup artist, CEO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and the author of four beauty books.   Bobbi’s Top Tips For more ways to look younger with cosmetics, check out prevention.com/bobbi.
